Family life documentary photography. The most intimate and real moments of a family's daily routine.Your life, your story, captured in such a way you've never seen or stopped to observe...

A day in the life is unique because it allows us to document the very heart of what families are made of.  The final product is more than a family photo, it's a memory of your most special moments that is forever yours to keep.

Parents often forget how hard they work and how appreciative their kids are of all the hard work. We will showcase how a family interacts with one another, how they handle conflict, how they show each child love and affection.

Erika Doss created a "day in the life of" photo album for our family. She spent a whole day with us and took a set of photographs that is beyond amazing. If you're looking for family photos that are unique and high quality, Erika is the person for you. Her photos look very natural but also artistic and modern. She can really capture the most simple moments in very special ways!

No two families are the same and photographing each one comes down to a matter of reading body language, exchanging smiles and interacting with the children.
Mixing film education with portrait experience, we will capture the essence of a family’s most intimate moments through still images and videos during the 'day in the life' sessions.

“Erika has this extraordinary gift of capturing the most intimate and real moments of a family's daily routine. Through her lenses, she reveals the small and amazing details that are worth preserving and often go unnoticed. Children grow up so fast and family routines are constantly changing. The fact that Erika documents the little things is what I find the most fascinating about her work. Her photos are spontaneous, relaxed, and honest. Nothing is staged. The result, is a true documentary of a family's moment in time. I treasure her photos so much and every time I go through them, I feel like traveling in time and remembering exactly how things used to be!”

The 'Day in the Life' sessions are becoming the most desired family sessions nowadays. This session is done at home documenting routines. Showing families how much they love and are loved. I get to see things that the parents don't necessary get to see. I spend the entire day documenting the routine of a family, so that when edited, there is a full day span of time preserved. More and more families are desiring this type of session, and what I am encouraging is that begin an annual tradition of documenting the growth and changes of their family to look back on years later.
